Select a location with partial shade to full sun and well-drained soil. Prepare the soil by loosening it to a depth of about 6 inches and removing any weeds or debris. Sow the seeds directly into the soil, planting them about 1/4 inch deep and spacing them 2 to 4 inches apart in rows or clusters. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged during the germination period.
